Auto Glass Claims
If you have a broken windshield or other auto glass part, we recommend that you call Glass America at 1-866-690-1006. We have worked closely with them for many years and believe that they provide better service to our client than the other local glass replacement companies.
When you call during regular business hours, they will make an appointment to come out and replace your windshield – at your home or office. (This may not be possible in stormy or extremely cold weather.)
If you call after hours or on the weekend, you will usually leave a call back number and they will contact you on the next business day to make an appointment.
NOTE: Even after you report the damage to the glass shop, PLEASE remember to report the incident to Aronson Insurance so that we can properly set up the claim for you. The glass company cannot report the claim for you.
Glass America will bill the insurance company directly for their work. Unless you have a elected a special glass deductible, it is unlikely that you will have any out-of-pocket cost.
Sometimes, a windshield sustains a very small chip. In certain cases, they can actually repair the chip. This cannot and will not be done if the chip is in the field of view, directly in front of the driver. The benefit of a windshield repair is that the original factory windshield seals will not need to be broken. While 99% of windshield replacements will not leak, a windshield repair will never leak.
We do not recommend that you go to your auto dealer for a windshield replacement. Most all dealers will call a local glass shop for the repair anyway, marking up the cost that, in some cases, may not be covered by insurance.
