For policyholders who have a previous surcharge that was due to a Toyota gas pedal related accident, The Massachusetts Merit Rating Board has agreed to accept “late surcharge hearing” requests by calling the Merit Rating Board at 617-351-4400. It will be up to the policyholder to make the inquiry.
Update: The Massachusetts Merit Rating Board will now accept a written request to reconsider a previously lost appeal if the accident was due to a stuck gas pedal on a car that is involved in the Toyota recall. Click here for a letter that you can use to file a new appeal with the Merit Rating Board. Please be sure to notify us if you are successful in this new appeal. We want to be sure that you get all refunds due to you.
